So what is Trey up to at 22 months?
~ Biggest thing first-- he had his first trip to the ocean, and finally got to meet Uncle Tim. More on that to come!
~ He is starting to talk in more phrases, and picking up new words all of the time. For the first time this month, he asked to pray on his own at dinner. He repeated after us, "Thank You... God... for... our...food. AMEN!" With his little hands folded and his head bowed. Precious.
~ He is a great climber. When we were on vacation he just vaulted out of the pack 'n play like it was nothing. And he has the ability to climb out of his crib, although he hasn't, yet. When I go to get him after nap, he puts one leg up on the side like he may just jump out of his crib and come meet me! We are planning to move him to a different room and a toddler bed when he turns two, but the way he is going, he may not make it that long in his crib!
~ His current favorite book is "My First Farm Book." It's more of a vocabulary book than an "story," so it's not Mommy's favorite to read, but he just loves it and will exclaim excitedly over the pictures. You have never heard a boy announce "wheat field!!" with such glee. :)
~ We went to the doctor for symptoms that turned out to be viral (but I just wanted to make sure before we left on vacation), and he weighed in at 28.8 lbs. He still hasn't gotten any more teeth.
~ He loves to throw things. He will be happy for long periods of time if he can throw small rocks, sticks, or anything else he can get his hands on. Bonus if it gets to be thrown into water.
~ He likes to color, paint, or play with play-doh with Collette, and sits still doing it for a surprisingly long period of time, for an active toddler.
~ We call him our "Wreck-It Ralph." He is into something allllll the time. Sometimes Collette will just call him Ralphy and then they both giggle hysterically.
~ He is such a little ham, and makes hilarious "cheese" faces every time he sees the camera. Case in point:
~ He continues to get into something he shouldn't, and then have that completely endearing impish grin with the dimple, and eyes twinkling with delight, and it just melts my heart. So.Stinkin.Cute. I need to struggle to keep a straight face to discipline him sometimes.
Happy 22 months, sweet boy! Every day is an adventure with you, and we wouldn't want it any other way!
