Myrtle Beach Part 2

One of the big highlights of our trip was going to the Aquarium.  Collette has been very into mermaids lately, and on the weekends, there was a mermaid show at the aquarium, so we decided to check it out on Saturday.

The mermaids were in one of the big tanks with the rays and other fish.  Collette loved watching them!

After the show she got to meet one of the mermaids-- the one with the pink tail, she excitedly told me. :)

Collette watched a video about sharks with LL and has been nervous about them ever since (even having a few shark nightmares) but she was fine at the aquarium and wanted her picture taken with this "Nice shark."

Checking out the exhibits. (And yes, we did plan the fish and shark shirts. :) Miraculously, Collette agreed that wearing her fishy shirt was a good idea. Ha!)

They got to pet rays and little sharks:

This tunnel is by far the coolest part.  It was fun to be completely surrounded by the water and fish!

Trey didn't quite understand why we couldn't touch any of the fish, and kept telling LL, "Get it! Get it, Daddy!"

Each morning, Collette would get up and go sit on our balcony to watch the waves.  She is a beach girl for sure!

Trey was more interested in snacking with Daddy. :)

And, of course, we got in some more beach time.  We went one late afternoon, and it was almost deserted.  We had a great time!

Building a giant sand castle:

LL helped the kids write their names in the sand.

Thank you, Uncle Tim, for a great visit! Can't wait to see you again soon!
