It's hard for me to believe that another month has passed! Trey just keeps growing and growing. :)
What's new with Trey at 7 months?
~He is a much better sitter now. He can sit unassisted for longer periods of time, and he enjoys sitting up and playing with toys. (I have always said that these few weeks where they can sit up and play but aren't mobile yet are some of the best! LOL. Short-lived, though.)
~He isn't army-crawling, but he is scooting on his belly on the floor to move around. He works to get himself off the carpet on onto the hardwood floors, since he discovered he can slide more easily on that surface. He has also started getting up on his hands and knees, so perhaps crawling is in the not-too-distant future.
~He still has no teeth. I think he may follow in Collette's footsteps and be a slooooow teether.
~He takes two naps a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and usually goes to sleep around 8:00pm. He mostly sleeps through the night, but if I don't feed him close enough to bedtime, he will wake up starving around 4am.
~He is starting to really like books. He will sit with Collette and I when we read, and he is constantly grabbing at the pages and looking at the pictures.
~He says "dada" and babbles quite a bit, but no "mama" yet. :)
~He makes his little scrunched-up-nose face a lot-- even when he's smiling. Silly kid.
~Trey had his first "sick baby" doctor visit this month. He had a fever of over 103, and it turns out he had an ear infection, so he got his first antibiotics (he actually beat Collette-- she has never been on antibiotics or had an ear infection!). Poor boy was pretty sick for a couple of days, but he's done with his meds now and back to his old self.
~He's still a pretty cheerful, laid-back baby. He laughs and laughs at Collette, and thinks Mommy and Daddy are pretty funny, too.
(Collette decorated him with stickers. He was a good sport!)
~He's a good eater. He will usually eat oatmeal or rice cereal for breakfast, a fruit at lunch, a veggie at dinner, and sometimes cereal again in the evening. He has really enjoyed trying fruits this past month!
Here are his 7 month pictures!
