Today we made our annual family trip to RB Winter State Park, or as Collette calls it, "the beach!" It is kind of a beach, in that there is sand and water, and when you are two, that's all that matters. :)
We had a great time! It was a cooler day, which made it so nice to be outside, but did make the water frigid! Well, at least in my opinion. Collette and even Trey didn't appear to notice. Their cousins, however, were eventually shivering and blue-lipped (really!).
Trey sat right down in the water and had a great time playing:
The best shot of the siblings I could get... Collette was way too interested in the water to be bothered to sit still on the shore and pose! :)
Eventually he got sleepy, as evidenced by the ubiquitous thumb:
and so we got him all dried off and he took a nice nap in his stroller. He was such a happy guy all day!
The Little Fish had a great time as always:
(I just love this picture of her running. It totally captures her personality!)
And loved playing with her cousins!
Uncle Jon was a big hit with all of the kiddos--- he braved the freezing water to play with them all!
And Uncle Andy had a water war waged upon him!
Eventually the kids (except for Collette) got cold and decided it was time for a snack break!
Tabby and Collette and their "watermelon bowls:"
The girls! :)
We had such a fun day! I love LL's new work schedule that gives him 3 day weekends every other week. We are so thankful to be able to spend time as a family!
