Princess Collette

In July Collette got the opportunity to do two princess events! (I really thought I had blogged about them last month, but obviously I got more behind than I realized!) Collette is very into princesses right now, so both of these things were right up her alley. :)

Our local Applebee's had a Princess Night, and Collette and her cousin Autumn attended it together. Bot of our families went and had dinner, and the girls got to do several princess-y things while we waited for our food.  It was so fun!

Cinderella's carriage was the most exciting part!

 

 For liability reasons, the girls didn't get to actually take a carriage ride, just sit in it and talk to Cinderella.  But it was still fun.

 

Inside, they got their finger nails painted, got to make sparkly crowns, and decorate a cookie.

 

And got an apple from Snow White!

The second Princess event Collette got to attend was The Prince's Ball at Treasure Castle Playland. LL found this event online and had to sign Collette up! It was so much fun! I didn't get many pictures of the different princesses and all of the little girls dressed up, but it was a sight to see! Princesses everywhere!!

My very own princess, ready to go.  I found her this tiara and necklace (which she calls her "amulet," thank you Sofia the First for adding that word to her vocabulary! LOL!) in the dollar bin at Michael's, and I knew she would love them.  She did. Can you tell? :)

 

Arriving at the event, she met the King and Queen, and Cinderella. The girls were divided into groups, and Princess Tiana was her group leader.

Then they listened to a princess story and got to pick out balloon colors to have made into a balloon wand.  Guess who picked pink and pink for her two colors?

 

Then it was time for the carriage ride! They actually blocked off streets for the carriage, and the horses and carriage were beautiful!

 

After the carriage ride, the girls got to dine with the King and Queen (pizza and cupcakes) and then make a sun catcher craft.

 

The entire event was so much fun, and Collette had a great time.  Although one of the youngest girls there, she had no problem doing everything by herself and making sure she was one of the first in line for everything! Ha! At the end, she asked me when we got to go to the Ball.  I was confused at first, since we had just done a whole afternoon of Princess things.  But the event was called "The Prince's Ball," and Collette wanted a Real Ball, with dancing! Oops.  I had to explain that was just the name, and we had done all of the events offered. She was disappointed, but recovered pretty quickly. :)

 

It is so fun having a girl and getting to experience fun things like this! We may go back next year.
