Holiday Express Train Ride

Last Sunday, we had the opportunity to go on a Holiday Express Train Ride! We had never done one before and didn't really know what to expect, but the kids (especially Trey) are very into trains, and we thought it sounded like fun.  LL's brother Andy and his family came, and Gram and Pap came, too.  It was so fun!

The train!

Trey waiting with Pap and Gram.

It was so cold!
(Side note:  Collette LOVES that hat/scarf combo she is wearing.  LL's mom got it for her boys years ago, and Collette just thinks it's the greatest thing ever.  She has an adorable hat that matches her dress coat, but of course she wanted the scarf/hat.)

Of course we attempted a family picture.... this pretty much how they all turn out. :)

On the train! It has fun lights and played Christmas music.

Sweet Amelia's first train ride!

Trey was so excited to be on the train!

I love this shot.  Captures his little personality so well.  :)

All of the kids were excited to hand over their tickets and have them punched.

Tabby is Trey's buddy.  He just loves her and goes running to her every chance he gets.

Gram and Pap ended up with all of the kids on their side. :)

Trey was excited looking at the characters coming through the train.

Collette could barely sit down she was so excited to see each and every person who came through.

Frosty the snowman, Rudolph, elves, Santa, and the Grinch all passed through.  None of the kids would shake hands with the Grinch! Can you blame them?

Santa and Buddy the elf coming through our train.

We had such a great time.  The ride lasted about an hour, and it was even snowing, which made for a pretty ride.

Collette planned for days in advance to wear her Christmas tree dress on the train ride, and Trey had his Christmas train overalls on.  They looked so cute together I decided to try to get a descent picture of them.

How cute are they? (And when did they get so tall?)
What a great day!
