Collette is obsessed with all things Hello Kitty currently, and so she requested that for her party. Trey loves diggers and tractors, and since we did a tractor/combine theme last year, we picked diggers. I didn't even try to make the two themes go together. With three kids and part time work, my new motto is "Ain't nobody got time for that." :)
Our Invitation:
Since we had a few seating areas, we set up a Construction themed table in the dining room:
and a Hello Kitty table in the play room:
People also ate at the island in the kitchen, where we had our cakes. I went simple with cakes this year, too. Collette got Hello Kitty's head, and Trey had a mountain/dirt pile with diggers.
Every year the kids love having party hats to wear, it is one of their favorite parts of a party! This year I found Hello Kitty ear/bow headbands, and construction hats. (Thank you, Target!)
Blowing out the candles!
Gift Time! The Paw Patrol book and big digger were huge hits! (Don't ya just love all the redheaded cousins? LL is always sad that Trey's hair didn't stay red.)
Collette showing off her new Hello Kitty slippers, to complete the ensemble. ;)
A new unicorn flashlight pet-- can you see the sheer joy? )
A Big Wheels!
This year, we didn't even think about attempting a family picture. But I did get a cute one of the kids:
How can these kids be 5 months, 3 and 5? It doesn't seem possible! We are so thankful to be celebrating another year with our sweet blessings.
