11 Months Old!

In less than a month we will be celebrating Elliott's first birthday! He is such a sweet and funny little guy, and we just can't believe how fast time is going!

So what's new with Elliott at 11 months?

~ He is a speedy crawler and is pulling up more, but still not "cruising" the furniture or attempting to stand on his own.  And that is totally OK with his mama.  :) I am not pushing for him to be mobile any faster! Ha!

~ His sleep has improved a huge amount of the last month! He is FINALLY sleeping through the night on a regular basis, or is up just once time for a brief period.  He still often takes a morning nap and an afternoon nap, but being the third baby and being dragged around quite a bit, he doesn't have quite the consistent nap schedule the others did.

~ He loves to wave, give "high fives," and kisses, and still thinks peek-a-boo and patty cake are hilarious.

~ His new favorite game is "uh-oh," consisting of dropping any time he is given, saying "uh-oh!" with great gusto, and then waiting for someone to retrieve the object so he can repeat the game. :) He as also developed an affinity for throwing his toys.  Ah, boys.

~ He is a great eater, and eats mostly table foods now.  I have given him some baby food pouches when we are on the go, and he likes those, too, and enjoys eating them on his own.  (So much easier and less messy than a jar of food and a spoon!Where were those when Collette was a baby??) His favorite foods are cheese and strawberries.

~ He still only has 2 teeth.  He is super drooly, but who knows if that is related to teething or not.

~ He is a growing boy! Elliott is mostly in 18 month clothes now, and size 3 shoes.

~ He has enjoyed being in Mimi's pool already this summer!

~ But he won't keep a hat on for more than 3 seconds. Ha!

~ I think it is time for him to have his hair cut! We are approaching the "comb over" stage.  It is still very fine but not quite as fluffy now that it's longer, but it is still wild and refuses to lay flat on his head. :) We still get a lot of "look at that hair!" comments when we go out. And it is still blond.

~ He is starting to say a few more words.  He says "Mama", "Dada," "Uh-Oh," and has recently started trying to say "Hi" and "bye bye" and "more." And he does say "mmmmmm" with great emphasis when he is enjoying his food.  And he makes this face whenever he sees a camera.  Mr. Cheese. :)

~He is still totally loved and doted on by his big brother and sister.
