The Mississippi Invasion 2015 Style

Our dear friends from Mississippi, the Long family, came to visit us! We were all so excited! It has been way too long since we've seen each other, and they are the type of friends that are really more like family-- we can just pick up where we left off, sit around in my messy house without feeling guilty, drink coffee, and watch 5 crazy kids together. This visit was extra fun, because we've never had all 5 kids together before! They were here visiting for over a week, so we had a lot of pictures of our fun times, but here are a few of the highlights.

Of course we had to start our trip with some selfies! :) Because we like to pretend we are 12. Ha! And the boys had to show off their tractor shirts.

We took a trip to the Pioneer Coal Tunnel, and got to take a ride on an old coal train,

and got to go down into a coal mine.  Very fun!

At home, playing in the water was a big hit.  Both at Mimi's pool, and in the sprinklers at our house.

Touring the farm was a must.

And we had fun hanging out at home, too.

We had free tickets to the Civil War Museum, so we checked that out (that one may have been more fun for the adults than the kids. Ha!)

And of course, Uncle John got his turkey! Great job, Uncle John!

And you know I'm a sucker for a comparison picture, so here are the girls from the PA visits with Mary Audrey and Leanne:

And here is Uncle John with three camouflage-wearing babies!

Such a sweet visit with friends! Hopefully we will be making a trip to MS soon!
