And on the exam table, waiting for her check-up:

Telling us all "I'm THIS big!"

Collette is growing soooo fast! At her appointment today, she was 24 inches long (between the 75-90% for height) and weighed 11 pounds, 8 ounces (50% for weight)! At her last appointment there when she was 11 days old, she was 20in., 7lbs 9oz. She has grown 4 inches and gained 4 pounds in about 2 months!! Anyway, she got a clean bill of health and all of the nurses oohed and aaahed over her hair. :o) Then she got 5 shots and an oral vaccine. That was NOT fun for her or for us, but she did just fine and actually hasn't even been too fussy. We have been giving her Tylenol as needed but overall she's been great. Here she is showing off some of her Dora the Explorer Band-Aids:

After her appointment, Collette and Daddy needed a little nap:

Then, it was off to Gram and Paps! Collette spent the evening with her grandparents so we could have date night--our very first since Collette was born! We decided to check out a nice Italian restaurant near us that we had heard good things about--and it was great! They had a lot of yummy stuff-- I had Parmesan encrusted salmon with butternut squash ravioli in a raspberry sauce. YUM-O! LL had something with pan seared scallops and gnocchi in a basil cream sauce. Then we split a piece of mud pie for dessert, and of course had to have coffee! I really wanted to take a picture of us with our food, but LL wouldn't give me his blackberry, because he said we were in a nice place. :o) Oh well. Then we went to see The Blind Side, which was AWESOME. We loved it, and I think we laughed a whole lot more than the other people in the theatre, probably because of the time we spent in MS and the fact that I spent a lot of time driving around in unsavory neighborhoods because of my job, so we found humor in places that most Pennsylvanians probably wouldn't. :o) And then LL realized we probably saw Michael Oher play when they played MS State, and didn't even realize it, and that made him happy. Anyway, it was a very successful date night, and hopefully we will be able to do it again soon!
