Two Months Old!

Our little Trey is two months old today! He is just growing by leaps and bounds.  We had his two month Doctor appointment this morning.  Here is is at his big weigh in:

He now weighs 11lbs, 13oz, and is 22.5 inches long.  He's about in the 50th percentile for both.  Collette didn't go until almost 3 months for her appointment, but according to her stats, hes a smidgen shorter and a smidgen heavier than she was at her doctor's appointment.

So what's new with Trey at 2 months?

~He's still eating about every 3 hours, including at night.  Our nighttime feeding schedule is usually about Midnight, 3:00, and 5:00. Collette gets up around 7:30-7:45 and we all go downstairs and he eats again about 8. We are hoping for some longer stretches of sleep soon!

~He's solidly in his 0-3 month size clothes and size 1 diapers.

~He's beginning to smile more! It's so sweet to see, and we just love that little dimple, but it's still pretty hard to catch on camera.  He's not much of a "social smiler" yet, only once in a while.

~He likes playing on his play mat and watching is bear mobiles.  He's getting better at batting at his toys and grasping things.

~He's definitely a "blanket boy."  He loves to snuggle with a blanket and sleeps a lot better for naps when he's holding one.  At night he gets swaddled, so he doesn't hold one then. He also sleeps better sitting up a little bit-- like in his swing, bouncy seat, or car seat.  It's harder for him to get comfortable lying down flat in his bassinet.

~His head control is getting better. We just got out his bumbo seat, and even though hes still a little small for it, he likes the view :)

~ That hair just keeps growing and is still red. :) It's the talk of most people we meet. His eyes are looking bluer.

And here are the official 2 month pictures!

I thought it might be fun to take a monthly picture of him next to his big bear, to see how big he is in comparison. I realized that somehow I didn't post that picture last month, so here it is as a comparison:

Doesn't he look so grown up with his arm resting on the armrest like that? :)

Happy two months, little man!
