8 Months Old!

I know; I'm behind.  I've missed 2 weeks of 366 Project and Trey's 8 month update! We had a great couple of weeks away; LL was at a convention in San Diego, and we all spent some time with my parents in WI. I will be updating on all of our fun soon, but first up is Trey's 8 month post!

So what's new with Trey at 8 months?

~Biggest news first: he's a crawler! He's not too fast yet, but Trey definitely gets up on his hands and knees and gets around now.  He will revert to belly crawling sometimes, but is up on all fours a lot more.

~He still has not one tooth in his sweet little mouth.  :) Collette started got her first tooth right around 9 months, so maybe he will follow suit?

~He's getting to be quite the chatty little guy.  He is making more consonant sounds now, but no "mama" yet.  He says "dada" all the time though. :)

~The boy loves his food! The second he is placed in the high chair he starts hollering for food. It has gotten so bad that we avoid placing him in the high chair until I have a spoon in hand! We did start giving him puffs about a week ago, and he has been loving them.  He has started to get the hang of self-feeding, but with get frustrated and start to yell if he's too hungry.  He gets so excited when he's eating that he will wave his arms and legs and say "mmmmmmmmm" with each bite. He usually eats oatmeal or rice cereal and banana for breakfast, and a fruit and veggie at lunch and dinner.

~He is still a good sleeper, although vacation was kind of rough on everyone's sleep schedules.  He will generally sleep from 8:00 until 6:30 or 7:00, and takes two good naps a day, one around 10am and one around 3:30pm.  He still loves his blanket and his thumb. :)

Edit: Thanks to his second ear infection, we got a new weight/length on the little guy.  Trey is now 19lbs and  roughly 27.5 inches (he was quite squirmy during his length measurement).  :) That puts him roughly at the 50% for both.
