This year it took three attempts to get pictures. Collette woke up one morning and declared it "picture day," and was all excited about having her pictures taken. Her enthusiasm was contagious and both she and Trey happily sat for pictures. (Although Collette did insist on having her baby doll in most of her pictures, ha!). However, it was just too sunny, and I couldn't get any pictures to come out well. The kids were squinting, or their faces were covered in shadows.... of course. When they actually wanted to cooperate for pictures. Ha! We tried pictures again in the afternoon and it was slightly overcast, but neither of the kids were really into it anymore.
So, we tried again a few days later. Collette had very specific ideas about her hair, bows, dress, and shoes, and I just went with it. :) Trey could have used a hair cut, but oh well. I'm just glad I got a chance to capture their personalities and half-year milestones.
So, here are my favorite shots of Collette, at four and a half.
And Trey, almost 2 and half years old.
And of course I had to try for a couple of pictures of them together.
(This was the only pictures from our first two attempts that made the cut, hence the different wardrobe and hair. Trey was soooo proud to have his tractor in the picture, after all of Collette's baby doll pictures!)
It is just unreal to me that it was four years ago that I was carrying my sweet baby Collette outside to take her 6 month pictures. Oh, how time has flown!
Time, be still!
