Checking out some of the smaller animals:
The kids loved all of the birds they had there. They were SO.LOUD. I can't imagine adding something that loud to my household! Ha!
Both kids had to be lemurs. :)
Strike a pose, Collette!
A lot of the big cats were just snoozing in the sunshine, but this tiger was up and about.
My cuties!
Emu Collette.
This Himalayan Black Bear was a favorite. He was splashing all around in his big tub of water, and looked like he was having a blast!
We decided to bring our wagon, and it turned out to be a smart decision! The park was big and as it got later in the day, the kids got tired. It was also nice to help contain a little boy who thought maybe climbing up in the fence was a good way to get a closer look at the animals. Ha!
The kids each got to feed the deer a treat-- an ice cream cone. This little guy came right up to Trey.
Collette decided to feed deer that were further away, and waited very patiently for a deer to come over to her.
She was rewarded by being able to not only feed, but pet the deer as well!
The coyotes and wolves were fun to watch and hear howl. They watched the kids very intently, and I was wondering if they were thinking they looked like a good snack! :)
We had such a fun day! The kids are at an age where they are so excited about everything, and it is such a joy to share in their excitement.
