We had a low key day at home, and then picnicked and swam in the pool with my family in the evening. Several friends sent me a link to a cute fourth of July hairstyle for Collette, so we tried that out. I think our star hair do turned out pretty cute!
Collette is my picture girl, and was so excited have pictures taken of her and her brothers in their red, white, and blue.
Channeling Elton John. ;)
My "big kids" this 4th of July!
And Mr. Elliott. Sporting a shirt Mimi got for him. Too cute. And Two weeks old.
My 3 blessings. (And the best we could get of all 3 of them. Oh well.)
And of course, every year I get sentimental and have to look back on how the kids have grown. My sweet Collette. Four and a half years old and celebrating her fifth Fourth of July!
T-man. Our very own "Wreck it Ralph". Two and a half this year. Where has the time gone?
Our little firecrackers!
The fireworks display for our area was the day after the 4th. We got there early enough to get ice cream before the fireworks started, which was a big hit (and a big mess, for a certain two year old) with these two.
And we all enjoyed the fireworks!
(Southern friends, yes, we are wearing fleece jackets and blankets in July. Ha! It still cools off a lot in the evenings, and it was a little chilly that night!)
Elliott slept through his first fireworks display, and Collette and Trey thought each fireworks display was the best thing ever. I love their enthusiasm! And I love the fact that we got to enjoy our first holiday as a family of five. :)
