9 Months Old

Collette is 9 months old! I missed her official post date on the 6th because we were in Mississippi, but hopefully you will forgive me. :o) Collette is such a fun little girl, and it still amazes me to see her grow and change every day. Has it really been nine months? !? (I know, I know. Every month, the same thing). So what's new with Collette at nine months?

~She is a girl on the move!! She has learned to pull up and does it every opportunity she gets! She is also turning into a speedy crawler.

~She got her first bruise--she was crawling along with a toy and somehow slipped, and jabbed the toy in her cheek, leaving a nice bruise on her cheek. Poor baby. She's tough, though. :o)

~She is a ham. She LOVES people and talking to them. While we were in Mississippi she picked up the words "hiiiiiiiii" and "heeeeeeeey" and will say either one while she waves and smiles at people. I will have to get it on video for you, but it is hysterical. And people are so surprised to hear her say it, which makes it even funnier. In about 3/4 of the pictures I take of her, she mouth is wide open, just chatting away!

~ She is still a great eater and sleeper. She generally sleeps from 8:00pm until about 8:00 am. We tired her out so much on vacation that she fell asleep in her high chair!

~She has zero interest in a bottle. I try to get her to take one several times a day, and sometimes she will; sometimes she won't. She definitely knows her mind and will shove that bottle away if she isn't interested. She would rather have "real" food. We did have her try a sippy cup this week and she seemed to enjoy it:

~She is a big girl!! We go to the doctor on Thursday for her official stats, but she is definitely in 9-12 month clothes and some of the one-piece outfits she has are short in the length. As of right now she is a tall girl! And we have all seen those sweet chunky legs. Dontcha just want to pinch 'em? :o)

~She finally has teeth! Her two bottom middle teeth started poking through last week. You can kind of see them in this picture, and you can surely see all of the drooling that is going along with it!

Here are her "official" 9 month shots. We are doing a 9 month outdoor photo shoot later this week. :o)
