Karen and Tabby's Birthday Party

This past Thursday evening we celebrated the second birthday of two of my nieces! Karen and Tabby were born just 10 days apart, so for the past 2 years we have done a combined birthday party for them. It was a lot of fun, and also a good bit of chaos with 7 kids 3 and under! The girls had a "farm animal" themed party. My SIL Niki (Karen's mom) made this awesome horse cake:

And my SIL Taryn (Tabby's mom) made these super cute pig cupcakes. Everyone enjoyed them both!

While the girls were blowing out their candle, we took advantage of the moment to get a picture of all 7 cousins. I'm not sure if this has happened before; I know I don't have a picture of all of them together. Of course they are all looking at the cake and not the camera, but oh well. Here they are:

And even got matching pink and purple tricycles from Gram and Pap!

Collette was very interested in the presents, too. :o)


And speaking of birthdays, I'm an August baby, too, and this year LL really outdid himself for my present!!! Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE the Beatles; they are my absolute favorite group and (thanks again to my fabulous husband) I have every one of their albums. Well, Paul McCartney is coming to Philly this weekend, and we are going to see him!!!!!! LL got us tickets, despite the fact that he is on call this weekend. He was able to get another vet to cover the hours of the concert for us. I am beyond excited!!!!
