On the 6th, Collette turned 18 months. One and a half. Impossible!!
So what's new with Collette at 18 months?
~She is still growing like crazy. She is now in primarily 24mo size clothes, and can wear some 2T stuff, depending on how it's made. She wears a size 5 shoe. She loves to get on our scale, and according to it she weighs about 27 pounds. :o)
(Helping Mommy in the kitchen)

~She cut her fourth one-year molar, but still no progress on any more upper front teeth. She still just has 2 on top, 4 on bottom, and the molars. I'm assuming those missing teeth are in there somewhere?!? LOL
~She is still Daddy's girl. She gets so excited when she sees him come in the door or hears his truck.
(Lounging with Daddy):

~She is still a little chatterbox. She talks a blue streak most of the time, although much of what she says is still gibberish. LL and I tried to list the words that she uses pretty regularly, and we came up with about 60-65 words.
~She continues to love animals, and loves spending time outside. Now that the weather is nice, we usually go outside in both the morning and the afternoon every day. She likes her playhouse and her swing, but her true love is chasing the dogs around the yard and trying to feed them sticks, rocks, pine cones, and walnuts. :o)

~She still eats quite well, although she definitely has more of an opinion about what she wants to eat! If she decides she doesn't want something, she will say "no" very emphatically, and shake her head back and forth, sending all that hair flying in her face. She loves all fruits, most veggies, all kinds of beans, cheese, and pastas. She is getting better about meat, and ate meatballs, meatloaf, and chicken this month. Her newest love is sweet tea, and when she sees LL with a glass of it, she will say "tea! please? please?" over and over until she gets a sip out of his glass. :o) (Luckily we usually make decaf tea sweetened with splenda, so it's not too bad for her).
(Taking a snack break in her favorite spot, her car seat!)
~She is definitely into the toddler independence stage. Yesterday, I took something from her that she wasn't supposed to have. Stinker ran the other way with a death-grip on it. When I stopped her to retrieve it, she yelled "nooooooooooooooooooooo!", stomping her little feet! The tantrum was over in about 5 seconds, but I foresee more episodes of this in our future. :o)
~Collette is such a joy. She has such a sunny personality and just loves being around people. So far, she doesn't have much stranger anxiety, and enjoys church nursery, MOPS nursery, and spending time with her cousins.
Happy 18 months, Collette!
