Well, I am a day late due to our super-busy weekend (more on that later) but Trey is now 6 months old!! Half a year!
So what's new with Trey at 6 months?
~ One of the biggest changes is the introduction of veggies to his diet over the past month. He has tried squash, sweet potato, green beans, peas, and lima beans. So far he has liked them all pretty well, but sweet potatoes are his favorite. I'm hoping to make carrots and cauliflower for him this week, and start introducing some fruits, too. He loves his food! He's now eating either oatmeal or rice cereal for breakfast, and a veggie at lunch and dinner. Although my little thumb-sucker keeps putting his thumb in his mouth in between bites, which makes for a messier meal. :)
~He has turned into a serious early-bird! He usually goes to sleep around 7:30 at night, and wakes up at 5:30. Sometimes he will go back to sleep, sometimes not. He usually takes a good morning nap (around and hour or hour and a half) 9:30 or 10am, and a long afternoon nap (usually 2 hours or more) around 3:30 or 4. Sometimes he will take a little cat nap around 1pm.
~He is still growing like crazy! We go to the doctor tomorrow, so we will know his height and weight then, but he is in 6-9 month clothes and I just bought his first pack of size 3 diapers.
~His new trick is "clicking" his tongue against the roof of his mouth. He looks proud of himself when he does it! He also makes a "game face" with the scrunched-up nose. Hopefully I can post a video of both soon.
~He is rolling more often in both directions, and working on sitting up.
~He still has no teeth, but is gnawing and drooling like crazy, so maybe they are coming soon. :)
~He has been laughing out loud a lot more, and often laughs when he hears other people laugh. He thinks Collette is so funny and grins and giggles at her all of the time.
~As previously mentioned, he got his first haircut this month. :)
Here are the his official 6 month shots!
I just can't believe how much this little guy has changed in 6 months!
Happy half-birthday, Trey!
