During Trey's morning nap, Collette and I were playing outside (as we usually do) and decided to rake some leaves to play in. Collette was quite excited to use her own kid-sized rake and clean up around her play house:
(And yes, she picked out her outfit and dressed herself!)
We only have one tree in our yard that is losing its leaves currently, and Collette was pretty impatient to play in leaves, so we didn't get a big pile, but she didn't care. :)
First up: Running through the leaves (with stuffed Llama Llama in tow):
Then a little relaxing in the leave pile:
Collette requested a picture of the two of us in the leaves, so we used the self-timer. It worked out better than I expected!
Later that afternoon, when Trey was awake, we revisited our leaf pile.
Collette had a blast making it rain leaves on Trey, and he giggled like it was the greatest thing in the world!
My two cutie pies:
What a fun fall day!

Aww, this is such a sweet post of your kiddos in the leaves! We've had some fall color around here but not much. Makes me happy to see little ones enjoying it so much. My daughter loves the leaves, but perhaps by the time she's Collette's age she'll understand better and enjoy them even more... and maybe by then we'll be back on the East Coast and kickin' through them!
