Trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Sunday we were able to go to Ard's Pumpkin Patch after church.  It was a beautiful day and we had such a great time! I was really looking forward to going this year, because last year it rained every.single.weekend, and we never got to go! We had lunch there, and then went on our hayride.

Waiting in line for the hayride to the pumpkin patch, Collette got to play in these fun tunnels.  She was pretty adept at rolling it around!

Ready for our hayride! (This backpack for Trey turned out to be the smartest move of the day! The terrain was too rough for a stroller and there was no place to leave it for the hayride.  And then we had free hands for carrying pumpkins!)

Our hay ride to the pumpkin patch:

Ready to pick one out!

The patch was huge and Collette had a blast running around looking for a pumpkin.  She told us she wanted "a very, very giant pumpkin!" She finally decided on this one:

I had a great idea to get a picture of both kids wearing their pumpkin shirts and sitting by pumpkins, but y'all know how getting looking, smiling picture of two children two and under goes.... yeah, it wasn't happening today. The sun was so bright that Trey never looked up, and Collette was trying to be patient but she was ready to look at more pumpkins! This was our best effort :)

We got our pumpkins! I can't wait to carve them. :)

Our hayride back with our pumpkins!

Collette had her eye on the inflatables since we got to to the pumpkin patch! She was super excited to get to go on this awesome slide.  And she made the most of her time by jumping around at the top of the slide before she went down. :)  Smart girl!

We ended our time by playing on the playground,

And getting ice cream! LL and I got pumpkin ice cream in pretzel cones,
and Collette picked raspberry.
Clearly, she enjoyed it. :)

(How did she get ice cream on her eyelashes? We may never know!)
