Bulldog Babies

In case someone out there isn't a fan of college football and may not know, the Mississippi State Bulldogs are currently ranked number ONE in the country. Number one, people.  This is unprecedented. I cannot tell you how excited we all are about this! Before this weekend game (and our current ranking), I was going through Elliott's drawers, found a well-loved MSU outfit, and decided to put it on him for Maroon Friday. (Yes. This is a real thing. Ask anyone in Starkville.)

Looking at him in his little MSU outfit, all the way up here in PA, made me nostalgic.  He's the third little Bulldog in this family to wear that outfit, and it was actually cousin Isaac's outfit first!

Baby Isaac, in 2007:

Collette (2010), Trey (2012), and Elliott (2014) - Bulldog babies!

We make it a point to have Bulldog apparel each year. :)

2010-- We even got to go back to MS and meet Bully!
(Cutest chubby baby cheerleader ever.)

2011:

 2012 (Spring):

 2012 (Fall):

2013:
(They were so into ringing their cowbells that I couldn't get a half-decent picture! Lesson learned-- no cowbells until after the photo op! Ha!)

So.  Clearly Elliott had to wear maroon for Maroon Friday. :)

When Collette got up, she was so excited to see him in his Maroon that she encouraged Trey (who actually agreed, miraculously) to wear his Maroon, and she could wear hers.

*Cue tears*

You can only imagine how devastating it was when fashionista Collette discovered that she no longer had any true maroon MSU apparel that still fit her, and even worse she "only had a shirt and not a whole outfit like Trey and Elliott!"

I tried to explain to her that it wasn't that easy to purchase Mississippi State gear in Pennsylvania, and that we were going to order her a new outfit online, but it was all too tragic to bear.  After a good 15 minutes of crying over her lack of maroon, she did agree to be in the pictures, but only if Mommy "didn't show my legs in the pictures because I don't have maroon pants."

Whew.  Crisis averted.  For now.  (And we don't have a game until next Saturday, thankfully.)

So here they are, my 2014 Bulldog Babies:

Hail State!
