Tis the Season for Performances

Collette had a little Thanksgiving program at Preschool, and three Christmas performances this year! She had a Christmas dance recital for Ballet and Tap, a musical with our church, and a Preschool performance! She was a busy girl!

Her first event was a Thanksgiving Feast at preschool. The kids sang a few songs, and had prepared food for their families.  We were both excited that LL was able to get off work and come for the feast!

Collette had two dance performances.  She did a tap dance to "Sleigh Ride," and a ballet performance to "Sugar Plum Fairy."  She ended up missing a few rehearsals due to being in Myrtle Beach, and sick, and then weather kept us from the dress rehearsal, so she wasn't super prepared for the performance, but she did pretty well overall.  Here she is with her little friends, ready for tap!

LL got her flowers this year (we are bad parents and have forgotten the past two performances!) and she was so thrilled.  She kept thanking him over and over and going to look at her flowers in her room. So sweet!

Here is a little video of the Sugar Plum Fairy dance. Collette even lost her dance slipper after the excitement of the group circle dance, but she kept on going. :)

Collette also participated in our church kids musical, "Angel Alert." She was one of the youngest kids involved, but she really enjoyed singing the songs and she did a good job.  And cousins Isaac and Tabby were in it, too, so that helped. :)

Her final Christmas event was a little Christmas performance at preschool. The kids had a "Christmas Around the World" theme, so they got to hula to "Mele Kalikimaka":

and ended the program with this rousing rendition of "Feliz Navidad".  Collette and her little friend on the left of her were very into both singing and using their hand-made maracas; the rest of the preschool class kind of half-heartedly shook their maracas and waited for the song to end. :)  Collette had been singing "Police Navidad" all week, so I knew she would be enthusiastic about her performance. Ha!

I do love her enthusiasm.  She does almost everything with gusto. :)
