The kids went to a pumpkin patch, spent the afternoon there, learned about the life cycle of pumpkins, and had a picnic lunch. Thankfully, my friend's daughter is in Collette's class, and she went on the field trip, so she got a few pictures for me. Thank you so much, Nicole! :)
As you can see, it was a perfect, gorgeous fall day for a field trip! Collette came home with a little pumpkin and lots of stories to tell. I'm so glad she had a good first field trip!
She also had her first "spirit week" at school. Since she only goes Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, she had three days. The first was "dress like a teacher" day-- I'm not sure about the puppy shirt, but a long skirt and heels seem pretty teacher worthy. The second was hat day, and the third was class color day. Unfortunately, someone chose to assign Kindergarten white as their class color! How does that even happen? We had to struggle to find any white in our wardrobe (it is stained in about 2.5 seconds, so I rarely buy it), but we persevered, and then Collette remembered her white boots. It was a little warm for furry boots, but they did pull the outfit together. Fashion by Collette. ;)
