Evan and Trey had fun playing together and holding hands:
We got Outback take-out for dinner....the only way to dine with 2 infants and a toddler! :)
Sunday we decided to invite LL's family here to grill out. We had steak and all the fixings and it was so much fun!
Taryn's parents came, too, and her mom got the honor of dining at the kids' picnic table :)
Isaac, Tabby, and Collette had a great time playing with Collette's wagon. Isaac got the great idea to shove the wagon up the hill, then all get in and try to ride down it (a la Calvin and Hobbes). Tabby helped him pull it up the hill, and Collette was just along for the ride.
Unfortunately (for them), parents intervene before they were able to fully experience their joy ride.
And since we had four strong guys captive, I may or may not have begged them to go get the swing set that my BIL and SIL left for us when the moved. It was literally next door, but in the country that can still be quite a distance, and it was already assembled, so it was harder to move in one piece. But guess what?
We got it!
Isaac and Tabby helped Collette break it in. Tabby and Collette weigh almost exactly the same amount, and if they weren't careful to "push off" when they were on the see-saw together, they'd get stuck in mid-air, perfectly balanced. Ha!
Collette has already had a blast playing on it, and we put up a baby swing so Trey can enjoy it, too. We are all ready for spring and summer now!
Playing on her swing set, saying (as she does about 50 times a day) "Mommy! I see something!" (This time it was birds).
On the "big girl" swing:
And of course the beloved slide!
She wanted to go on the see-saw after Isaac and Tabby had left, so I straddled one side of it so I could help her up and down. At first she started laughing and said "You're too big, Mommy! You're too big!" so I agreed, but told her I was just helping her go up and down. Then she kept saying "that's so cute, Mommy! Thanks, Mommy! That's so cute!" Ha! Silly girl.
We ended our weekend with another first-- guess who has moved to his crib?
Trey was really getting too big for his bassinet, and since he's been sleeping 5-6 hour stretches, we decided it was time to move him to his own room and his crib. He seemed to enjoy having more space and slept from about midnight until almost 5am, then went back to sleep until almost 8.Big boy!
