9 Months Old!

Trey, slow down! It is just so hard for me to believe that you are now 9 months old already! Where does the time go? (Obviously, since I'm already a day behind on this post and it's 11:30 at night, the time goes quickly! Ha!)

So what's new with Trey at 9 months?

~ He is a speed-crawler and pulls up all the time.  He is sooooo proud of himself still when he pulls up, and often gives a happy little squeal after he's successfully pulled up.  He still isn't that great at getting down from a standing position, and sometimes falls down or topples over from his standing position.

~ He got his first big bruise this week! He lost his balance and fell head-first into a wooden toy.  Big ole swollen bruise on his forehead.  Poor kid.

~ He has a great sleeping routine and has been sleeping through the night more consistently since we've been back home. He usually sleeps from about 8pm-8am, takes a morning nap around 10 or 10:30, and an afternoon nap around 2:30.  He still loves sleeping with his blanket.

~ He is eating more and more finger foods, and is getting better at eating them, although he doesn't quite have the "pincher" thumb/forefinger grip yet.  He loves to snack on Cheerios.  :) 

~ He is still toothless. :)  Maybe this month one (or two) will appear?

~ He just got his second haircut; his hair was hanging down in his eyes! I think we will be taking frequent trips to Aunt Gwen's hair salon!

~ He still thinks Collette is the funniest person on the planet.  He watches her every move and is able to play with her more now that he is mobile.  They have such fun playing in her room, and I frequently hear them squealing with laughter together.  So sweet.

~ He is a little snugglebug, and of course still a die-hard thumb sucker (either thumb with do).

~ He had his first nights away from Mommy and Daddy this month, when we went to NYC.  He did great with Mimi and Bumpa.

~ Although not the chunky monkey his big sister was, Trey is a growing boy! He has just moved up into his 9-12 month clothes and is in size 3 diapers. I'd guess he's in a size 3 shoe, but we haven't really put shoes on him much this summer. :)
