In addition to swimming, we did some fun indoor activities. The most exciting one for the bigger people was the rock wall-- LL, Andy, Taryn, and Isaac all took turns climbing. Tabby and Collette were too young to go (kids need to be 5 to climb) and obviously someone needed to watch Trey and Amelia, so I took one for the team. Ha!
Isaac did great climbing, just like he did great with everything else!
Isaac and Andy climbed together:
He climbed with LL, too.
LL would like to state for the record that he climbed harder walls and more times than Andy.
Not that he's competitive or anything. :)
Taryn climbed too!
Collette and Tabby had fun watching and cheering
(Well, Collette cheered. Ha!)
And wearing their matching shirts they got at the book store :)
The other big indoor activity was an inflatable fun night set up for the kids. There weren't a ton of kids, so they all got to play for a long time. We probably would have never gotten them out of there, but it was an evening event and the kids were beat.
Tabby and Isaac tried their hand at fighting with giant boxing gloves:
All the kids had fun with the basketball game:
And the bouncy house was Collette's favorite.
This "knock the opponent off with a giant stick" game was a lot of fun too.
Collette played it with LL.
Andy played it with Isaac:
And then the brothers dueled.
LL would like the record to show that he knocked Andy down and won.
Not that he's competitive or anything. :)
The whole long weekend was such fun, and it was great to do some different things with the kids. Even though we had some of the youngest kids there, we still were able to do a wide variety of things and we all had a blast. LL and I are already talking about going back another year, particularly as the kids get older and can do more things.
We left for home after lunch on Monday, and about ten minutes after we got on the road,
this is how the kids looked:
this is how the kids looked:
For approximately the next 2.5 hours. :)
I'd say that's the sign of a good trip!
