Egg Dyeing with the Cousins!

Each year we get together with the family and dye Easter Eggs.  This year we doubled-up and also made the "it's not really Easter unless we make these" chocolate-covered peanut butter and coconut eggs the same day. :)  It got to be a long day, but everyone had a great time!

With several of the boy cousins living out of state, the boys are outnumbered (at least for a while! We will see what this new crop of babies brings! Two more boys, so far. And two more we don't know the gender of, yet.) But Baby Jon, Isaac, and Trey did sit together, in male (and red-headed/former redheaded) solidarity. :)

Trey had a great time dyeing eggs this year, after one mishap-- the second I put that mug in front of him, he picked up and took a big sip out of it, before I could even warn him that I was giving him egg dye and not a drink! Ha! That boy has lightning fast hands. 

Our farm-fresh brown eggs don't even become as brightly colored as white eggs, but they sure are tasty. And the kids don't seem to mind.

After our eggs dried, Grandma hid the eggs, along with a few candy-filled eggs, in her basement for a mini egg hunt.  It was pretty cold and rainy out, so we opted to do it inside. Collette showing off her haul:
