We made it!
Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of communication! We made it safely to PA, with no trouble on the trip, and I am working day and night on the house. We still have no internet or home phone because the verizon people hooked up the wrong address, so I am using Lloyd's parents' dial-up connection, which is too slow for pictures or anything, but I promise as soon as I get to real DSL internet I will post all of the pictures you have been waiting for! (and change the happy valentines background! lol) For now, I will just say that we are all doing fine. The house is a LOT more work than even I imagined; I have literally spent 8-10 hours a day unpacking and cleaning all week long and am not even close to being done. My great friends Nora and Lacosta came Sunday and Monday and worked soooo hard helping me get organized and even helped when I was gone buying appliances, and my sweet sister in law Taryn has come over a couple of days to help, too. The construction on our laundry/bathroom is going well, Lloyd and I are going tomorrow to pick out the last things we need--laundry sink and cabinets, tiles, etc. We were able to buy all of our appliances, and are all but the dishwasher are now operational. We are picking out new kitchen counters, too, since the dishwasher is going where the fridge used to be and there is no counter there. Also, the 70's yellow formica has seen better days. :o) I did have a job interview yesterday; please pray for wisdom as I consider this or other jobs. This is a mobile therapist position working with children and families. It is PRN but would mostly be afternoon and evening hours, with the possibility of doing TSS (one to one work with a child in the class room) during the day if I choose. Lloyd is loving his externship and he is negotiating his contract next week, so be in prayer for that as well. Oh, and if you are reading this from somewhere south-- it is COLD! It started snowing as soon as we reached WV on the way up, and has snowed on and off since. Today the high was below freezing and it was single digits with the wind chill. BRRRRR! I am wearing my heavy winter jacket that I never once wore in my 4 years in MS and still shivering! We are supposed to get 1-3 inches tomorrow, so I will try to take some nice snowy pictures for everyone. Well I had better go before I get kicked off line. Pictures to come!
