Almost finished!

The kitchen and bathroom are now almost finished! We now have all new counters in the kitchen! Hooray! Really, all that is left to do is stain the new shelf for the microwave and the shelves by the stove and dishwasher to match the cabinets, and the kitchen will be done (for now). Here is the progress we have made there:



The bathroom is also nearing completion. Lloyd came home this weekend and we primed and painted all of the trim, so Monday they put in more of the fixtures. We now have a working toilet! We also moved the washing machine over, but not the dryer because we still need to cut a hole for the dryer vent. The contractor also built us this nice shelf to go above the washer and dryer. Next on the list is electricity to hook up the washer, dryer, and lights, heat, and putting the shower door on. Then we should be DONE!



The ironic thing is the bathroom will probably be done about the time Lloyd and I leave... we decided to drive together to WI for his next externship, since plane tickets were really expensive, and my parents live about 3 hours away from where he is going to be. I will spend the two weeks visiting my grandpa and my parents while Lloyd is doing yet another externship (isn't being unemployed great? Other than the whole not having any money thing, I love the flexibility of just leaving!). Lloyd and I will be leaving on Saturday (probably very early) to drive out there, and then after two weeks we will drive back and he will fly to MS for the last 3 weeks before graduation. I am looking forward to visiting with my family and then visiting with all of my great friends in MS! April should be a very fun month.
