Big Girl Food

We have been busy around here! First and most importantly, my mom is here! She had some free time and decided she couldn't stay away from sweet Collette any longer! She arrived on Thursday, and has been having a blast seeing all of the new things that Collette has learned to do! And probably the biggest thing Collette has been doing is eating solid food! At the beginning of the month, she started by having some rice cereal added to her bottle:



Then last weekend we put together her big-girl high chair. She spent some time just hanging out in it and decided it was pretty cool that it could have toys attached (the high chair and the exercaucer are both by Evenflo, so the toys are all interchangeable) and had lots of fun playing with her rings:




We were going to start the cereal then, but then we decided to wait until mom was here. So on Saturday, we took The Big Step--Oatmeal!! LL and I both fed her (and yes I realize we are wearing matching pajamas. That was totally NOT planned, but they were a Christmas present from my MIL a few years ago and they are super comfortable):


Collette was not at all sure about it at first, but then decided it was okay. Checking out her cool monogrammed bib from Ms. Lydia:
