So what's new with Collette at 5 months? Well, she is loving rice cereal and oatmeal. We eat one or the other every day; sometimes we eat oatmeal in the morning and rice cereal at night. She is starting to enjoy it:

She's also in the begining stages of teething (we think). Those fingers and anything else she can get her hands go in her mouth, and she drools like crazy. She enjoys teethers now, and we got her a new one in her Easter basket:

She does NOT hate tummy-time any more. Hooray! Although she still isn't rolling from her tummy to her back, she is content to spend more time on her belly playing now.

She spends a lot of time like this (with Bingo in the background):

She can make it over from her back to her tummy, but VERY slowly. She goes almost on her tummy, then rolls all the way back, and then does it again. Eventually she will make it over to her belly, but when I went to tell LL she's rolling, he said "it doesn't count unless it's one fluid motion!" LOL. Her pediatrician isn't concerned about her slow-rolls, and neither are we, although I do spend a considerable amount of time on the floor coaching her to "roll in one fluid motion for Daddy!" :o)
Here they are, the official 5-month shots!

My sweet slobbery dogs don't get enough recognition on the blog, but they are still here and doing well. They have been loving the warm weather and spend a good deal of time outside, getting dirty and barking at anything suspicious-looking. Which would be pretty much anything that moves. They especially love it when our Amish neighbors go by in their buggy. (Hmmmm...maybe that's why Northerners don't call a "shopping cart" a "buggy?" Just a thought.) Anyway, here were the dogs guarding the yard this morning. I took this through the window with a screen in it, but I still thought it was cute.
