Mimi, Grandpa, and Great-Grampie's Visit

As I mentioned, my parents and my grandpa were able to come visit us this past week.  It was soooo great to see them, and Collette is at an age where she changes so much, so I know they had a blast getting to see her and all of the things she is up to now! Somehow she understood instantly that they were here solely for her entertainment-- and she wasted no time having them entertain her!! She would say "Come! Play!" or "Come! Hand!" reaching for their hand, taking them to play with her.  So funny.  (Actually, Collette has a problem saying the hard "c" sound right now.  "come" comes out like "bum," which is pretty cute, too).

I actually didn't get a lot of pictures from this visit, partially because Collette is "busy," but also because this was a half-pleasure/half-business trip for my parents; they bought the house next door to us and closed on it (FINALLY-it was quite the ordeal, but I'll spare you the details) this past Monday afternoon.  But their days were filled with a lot of meetings with the bank, the lawyer, the renters who will be living there until my dad retires, etc. But I did manage to get a few pictures, anyway. :)

This is how my mom spent a lot of the week:

She bought Collette this Little People Barn and Animal set, and Collette loooooved it! She has played with it all week, and has had the best time putting the animals in the stalls, in the fence, making them eat, making them sleep, and waking them back up. And of course this game is MUCH more fun with Mimi!

Mimi and Collette also had fun singing together-- "Itsy Bitsy Spider" is currently Collette's favorite:
Great Grampie makes a pretty good playmate, too. :)

We also got in lots of quality snuggle time with Great Grampie:

And Collette helped Grandpa and Mimi with some of their paperwork and planning:

Collette also developed a fascination with Mimi's white jean jacket.  She wanted to wear it constantly and was soooo proud of herself when she was able to put it on by herself--even if she did need some help with the buttons.

And of course, shoes. Oh, how we love shoes! Mimi's shoes were pretty great.

We had a great visit and are looking forward to when Collette and Baby Boy can just walk up the hill to Mimi and Grandpa's house, instead of having to drive  hundreds of miles! :)
