Gingerbread House Decorating

This past Wednesday our MOPS group hosted a "gingerbread" house decorating time, although we actually used graham crackers for our houses.  It was such a fun morning and we had a great turn out! I think there were at least 5 full tables of moms and kids, with lots more kids running around in the gym. :)  All of the moms brought different candies to decorate with, so we had a nice variety.  I found this super-cool block candy at our local Farm Market:

Last year, when Collette had just turned 2, she didn't quite "get" the concept of decorating the house, and was a little perturbed I wouldn't just let her eat all of the candy on the table. This year, she understood the concept much better and had a great time decorating her house! (Although I did have to remind her to not eat her supplies, lol).

Collette and friends Tabby, Violet, and Julianna decorating:

Tabby had fun making a house, too! Baby sister Amelia slept the whole time. :)

Trey crawled around and got into trouble for a while, and then got confined to the high chair.
He didn't seem to mind :)

All done! She decorated the whole thing!

After dinner we enjoyed part of our house for dessert.
 Collette proclaimed it "delicious!"
