The Truth in the Tinsel

I just wanted to share a really neat Advent project I'm doing with Collette this year.  It's called Truth in the Tinsel, and each day you make a small Christmas ornament that corresponds with a part of the Christmas story. You can either order a copy of the book or download the PDF (which is what I did) and each day the book provides instructions for what Bible passage to read, what craft to make, and questions or activities to do with it. (HERE is the website). I learned about it through our MOPS group, and MOPS put together little baggies with our supplies for each day, so it is really easy to just pull out the baggie for the day and do the craft.  Collette and I have been doing it during Trey's morning nap time, and I love having the one-on-one time with her!

Collette has been absorbing so much more of the Christmas story than I thought she would, and each night when LL comes home we show him the ornament, hang it on the tree, and Collette gets a chance to tell him about it.  She is so proud of what she's doing!
