Farmin' Girl

Today was a very big day for Collette. Today she truly became a farm girl. Today, she rode her first piece of farm machinery--the combine! Her Daddy has always loved the combine. His family tells me repeatedly that when he was little (like, preschool-aged) he used to ride the combine ALL DAY LONG with his Pap, and when he got bigger, that was always "his" job. Since now he's a Vet, he stays pretty busy, and doesn't get to do so much around the farm, besides caring for the animals. However, everyone still gives LL first preference when it comes to combining, and he usually takes them up on it when he's free. Today was a BEAUTIFUL day here in central PA--high 70s, sunny, with a little breeze (sorry my sweltering southern friends) so it was a great day to ride!

Getting ready for the Big Ride, wearing her Carhartts with Daddy:

Ready to roll!

"Can I drive, Daddy?"

Uncle Lloyd even took the nephews and nieces for an extended ride:

See? Isn't it beautiful? I just love that this is the scene we see from our house every day!

And, just because she looked so darn adorable after her bath tonight, here's a freebie:

Can you say "Precious"? :o)
