13 Months!

Well, I am officially done with Collette's monthly picture posts, but I thought I could still give a monthly update on her. She is still changing so much!

So what's new with our big 13-month-old girl?

~Biggest news is that she is a full-blown walker now. She is still a little unsteady, and if she falls sometimes she will resort to crawling, but on the whole she is walking. It's so fun to see her toddling around. I will have to post a video of it soon.

~She has two new favorite words "uh oh" which she says more appropriately now (like when she knocks her sippy cup off her tray--on purpose--about 15 times per meal!) and "no,no,no"--which she says complete with a scrunched up face and sometimes a head shake. It's kind of cute to see, but I have a feeling I seeing that sweet little face scrunched up saying "no no no" may not always be so cute!!

~She is getting better all the time at problem solving. She is VERY determined. If she wants something that is out of her reach, she will try all kinds of ways to get it. Last night she kept getting into our buffet (there's no way to baby-proof that one) and so LL moved a chair in front of the doors. Stinker pushed it and wiggled and maneuvered her way back in!

~She is uber social and I'm pretty sure she thinks she's the center of EVERYONE'S universe. When we go out ANYWHERE she has to wave and say hi. Repeatedly. There's no "once and done" with her. We went out to dinner on Friday and happened to be seated by the server's entrance, and Collette was in her glory. People coming in and out all the time! She had to wave. Every. Single. Time. And of course, everyone thought it was cute, so that only encourages the behavior. :o)

~She still loves books and has been having a blast with all of the toys she got for her birthday.

~She is still a total Daddy's girl. And I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual. :o)

~She is a girl on the go, go, go. Only when she's not feeling well does she want to sit and snuggle. The rest of the time, she's on the move! She still plays well independently, but will now get a specific toy -r book and bring it over to me if she wants me to play with her.
