A Fat Lip and A Video Extravaganza

Oh, the hazards of walking. Last night after her bath, Collette was walking around the living room in her monkey footie-jamies, and took a spill. Unfortunately, she took her spill onto a toy, and hit her mouth squarely on it. She started crying and as I ran over to check her, I noticed her mouth was full of blood. And of course Dr. Reitz wasn't home! I raced her over to the sink and tried to figure out what was bleeding, and it turns out she cut the inside of her top lip and gums. Poor baby. It bleed and bleed and bleed, and by the time LL got home she had a nice fat lip. Here is my poor sweet girl showing off her lip for Daddy:


Those of you who know me know that blood and I do not get along well; I am definitely what you would call "a fainter." But luckily I managed to stay on my feet just fine, although my yellow t-shirt is a little worse for the wear. LOL.

Here are a few videos that I had to share! The first is of her walking on Thanksgiving at my parents' house; that is when she first started walking. In the second video you can see her walking skills have improved, and hear her saying one of her new favorite words, "uh-oh." The third video is of another favorite word, "no." She also kind of says "what?" when I call her name, but she doesn't do that much. The last video is my favorite. Collette and Bingo are best buds, and Collette LOVES to share her lunch with Bingo (even though I strongly discourage it.) Bingo thinks this is a great deal and is always close by at mealtimes. HA!
