Otter Love

When LL visited the Georgia Aquarium this past August, he got Collette a stuffed Otter backpack/harness-- you know, the kind that you can strap on and hold the tail so that your darling little person doesn't go running off on you? Well, Collette LOVES her otter.

We have it hanging on a hook in her bedroom, and lately its the first thing she reaches for when she goes into her room or when I get her out of her crib. She hugs him and carries him around, and is working on saying "otter." She tries so hard to repeat it!

I have been trying to have Collette wear some of her festive attire, since we are so close to Christmas. Of course she hasn't been the most cooperative for pictures, so it's been a challenge. Here are a few of her outfits this week:

This cute Christmas tree shirt is one that both Autumn and Tabby wore.

This isn't entirely "Christmas-y" but the red corduroy seemed festive. She wore this yesterday when we had some of LL's coworkers over to play Wii (which don't actually own, but our friend and fellow doctor Sue volunteered to bring it).

And while I'm on the subject of last night, we had a great time! LL and I broke out the Chocolate Fountain (fondue):

And we had lots of yummy desserts and appetizers. We had oreo balls, date balls, fruit, popcorn, pretzels, and cheesecake bites to go in the chocolate, and we also did a baked brie with apricot and pecans wrapped in a puff pastry, which we served with crackers. And we made coffee pumch, because we are always looking for an excuse to make coffee punch. YUM.

We also had tons of fun playing Operation, Dance Party, and some balance-board games. I didn't get any pictures of that because we were too busy playing! LOL But Collette loved the Wii remotes and had a great time socializing with everyone. What a ham. :o)

And here is today's festive attire:

It just doesn't seem possible that Christmas is just a few days away!! :o)
