We have been making steady progress in the bathroom! We originally planned (well, hoped) for the bathroom to be finished by the 15th of March, and we didn't quite meet our deadline, but we have come close! Our biggest snag has been the tile-- somehow, the company didn't order enough tile, so a job that was supposed to take a couple of days ended up being extended over two weeks, while we waited for the tiles to come in. Soooo, at the end of the day last Friday, the floor wasn't finished, and the vanity was supposed to be installed on Monday morning. We contacted the tile company, and they said if the tile came in over the weekend, they would install it over the weekend. So at 8:30 on a Sunday morning, our tile installers returned to finish laying and grouting enough of the floor to get the vanity installed on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday our contractor was back, hooking up the water lines and finishing other odd jobs, and our electrician was here. And today the tile installers finished laying and grouting the remaining few tiles on the floor, tub, and walls. We still need some "extras," like window trim, closet doors, etc., but the big stuff is DONE!! Here it is!!

The tub:

(Oh yes. I should probably mention at this point that after the tub was pronounced "ready for use," LL filled it and turned on the jets. And then heard water dripping.... turns out the tub was missing an important part-- the gaskets. Upon calling Lowes, they said the tub had been in stock for a while and perhaps they used the gaskets from that tub for another one.((Whaaat?!?)) anyway, it will take another 3-5 days to get the proper gaskets in. Which is why there is the front panel still missing out of the tub).

We chose cherry wood, and I think it looks nice in the space!

I can't wait to let Collette go for a swim in our new tub!!!!
