Dying Easter Eggs!

On Tuesday afternoon, we had an impromptu egg-dying party at LL's mom's house. My SIL Taryn and I had been talking about dying eggs, but we just hadn't seemed to get a day worked out, and so my MIL said "let's do it this afternoon!" So we did. Unfortunately, Niki and her kids were out of town, so we were down 3 little blondies, but Isaac, Tabby, Autumn, Collette, and Isaac and Tabby's cousin Emma (who was playing at their house that day) all were able to come. I remember dying eggs with the kids last year and thinking "I can't imagine Collette being old enough to do this next year!"

She was so little then! (Tabby with Baby Collette last year when we dyed eggs)

Well, not this year. :o) My little wild child had a GREAT time dying eggs!

I wasn't sure if she would understand the process or not, but she watched the big kids and right away wanted to join in, putting eggs in the little colored bowls.

As you can see, she loved the pink best, and managed to get, oh, about HALF of the dye on the newspapers and herself while dying her first egg!
(Please notice the death grip she has on her pink egg! LOL)

Watching cousin Autumn:
Concentrating hard:
Isaac and Emma, the egg-dying pros of our group. :o)
Autumn showing Collette how it's done:
(Again.... with the death grip!)
Sweet Tabby and Autumn:

Collette and some of the eggs. Because we used brown farm eggs, the colors didn't turn out quite as vibrant, but still, we had so much fun!

And then we made egg salad for lunch. :o)
