Reitz, Party of 20?

Yesterday was LL's dad's birthday. Since we are all pretty laid-back around here when it comes to birthdays, and since this is getting to be the busy season here on the farm, we didn't really plan much. But then it rained all day long and there wasn't as much farm work to do, so Ll suggested we all go out to dinner. Well, I started calling the siblings and lo and behold, everyone was available! We were trying to decide where to go for dinner, and decided that a nice Italian restaurant near the farm would be ideal, since if the workers had an trouble milking, someone would be close enough to help. Only one small problem: by the time we decided this it was after 5pm, and this particular restaurant generally requires reservations. What are the odds the whole Reitz clan could get in? Well, LL called and asked, and the restaurant hostess said "well, actually, we had our private dining room reserved for a pharmaceutical representative dinner, but they cancelled this morning. We have room for 20-25. How about 7:30? Would that work?" LL and I almost fell over! How providential! :o) Because, you see, the Reitz family is now a party of 20. Oh my. :o)

We had a great time at dinner, although 7 children in a fine dining establishment probably provided just a smidgen more volume than the pharmaceutical party would have! LOL We got a few pics with LL's Blackberry (so excuse the poor quality) to commemorate the evening.

The best group shot we got:

Isaac and Tabby, happy diners:

Collette was entertained the whole night by her cousins! (Karen and Autumn)

On a serious note, please be in prayer for the people affected by the horrible tornadoes in the South. Many of the areas near where I used to live were devastated, and a close friend of mine from MS lost her grandparents in the storm. Additionally, her parents' home was destroyed. Let's lift Emily's family up in prayer, as well as the thousands of other families impacted.
