Easter Sunday

Happy Resurrection Day! I hope you had a wonderful day celebrating Our Risen Savior! We had a wonderful day here. We went to church this morning, and then we had Easter dinner at the farm. After lunch, we had an egg hunt for the kiddos. We had hoped to have it outside, but the weather didn't cooperate and it rained most of the day. So, we did an inside hunt instead. This was Collette's first time participating in an egg hunt, and she wasn't quite sure about the whole thing. She loved carrying the basket and found an egg right away, but when she found one she sat down to open it and play with it, and was done looking for more eggs! Ha! With some help from Daddy, she did find several eggs. :o)

Yes. That is my child. With her Easter Basket stuck on her head. Ha! She needed help getting the handle off her piggy tail!



Collette got some chocolates and treats from the Great Grandmas and Gram and Pap, too.



We also got a quick attempt at a family photo.


We also took advantage of a few minutes of non-rainy weather to get a some outdoor pictures.






After a much-needed nap, we gave Collette her Eater basket.




LL and I also made Rice Krispie Treat eggs- we molded the rice krispie treats around the plastic eggs so they were hollow inside, and then we filled them with M&Ms. We dyed them fun colors and gave them to all of Collette's cousins for their Easter baskets. Collette thought they were pretty good, too. :o)
