4th of July Weekend

We had a lot of fun celebrating the 4th of July, even though LL was on call!  Collette actually had 3 patriotic outfits to sport, so we started celebrating on Saturday. :o)

Saturday LL worked  the entire day and evening, and actually didn't see Collette awake at all.  She and I just hung out at home and had a quiet day.  The weather has been beautiful (mid-80s with fairly low humidity) so we spent a lot of time playing outside.  Here is Collette showing me some great thing she found in the yard and sporting patriotic outfit #1.

Sunday we did church and lunch with LL's family, and Collette sported patriotic outfit #2.

Our dog Byron has been down at the farm making a "love connection" so Bingo has been enjoying her "only dog" status and hanging out with Collette a lot more. (When both dogs are here they tend to play with each other more). Collette has been LOOOOOVING having Bingo around her more, and was super excited to pose for pictures with her!

In the evening headed into town to watch the fireworks.  LL's brother Andy, our SIL Taryn, and Isaac and Tabby joined us.  We actually got to town early enough to walk a few blocks down and get ice cream cones before the festivities started. :)

Collette and LL watching the fireworks:

Collette loved the fireworks, and would squeal with joy when she saw them!

Yesterday we had a picnic/pool party with our friends Danielle and Matt and their family.  They live in Gettysburg, but Danielle actually grew up in the area where we currently live, and her parents' house is about 10 minutes from ours. They happened to be visiting her parents this weekend, so we were able to see them. LL was even able to join us for some swimming and lunch in between calls! I actually didn't take any pictures there, because I was too busy entertaining Collette in the pool (and eating, of course!) but I did get a picture of her outfit when we came home. :)  My friend LC found this cute halter dress with fireworks embroidered at a yard sale last year and snagged it for Collette.  So cute!
Serious face (tired girl from swimming!)
I hope y'all enjoyed your holiday weekend as much as we did!
