Trey's Baby Dedication

Yesterday in church we were able to dedicate Trey.  It was extra special because my mom is here visiting! Trey was able to wear an outfit my brother Tim wore when he was baptized over 30 years ago! So sweet!

Pastor Darrin doing the dedication.  He spoke about Trey's name meaning "three" and all of the references to "three" in the Bible.  The verse he used for his dedication is Ecclesiastes 4:12-- "Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

Trey did well during the service and even seemed to be listening to Pastor Darrin! :)  Collette did alright, too, with LL holding her, although we all know being still and quiet for more than 5 seconds is NOT her forte. LOL.

After the dedication we hosted a cook out at our house.  We had borrowed a big tent, lots of picnic tables, and had the yard ready...and then it rained.  And not only did it rain, it was about 40 degrees out. And raining.  An outdoor party wasn't going to happen! So we moved everything indoors... it was "cozy" but we managed and had a nice time.  Several families from our Sunday school class, along with the Pastor and his family, were able to join our family for lunch.

The kids decided to brave the weather and eat in Andy's turkey blink on our porch. :)  They thought it was pretty great.

It was such a fun day!  After lunch, while the adults talked, Tabby and Collette played dress-up in her room.  Tabby was content to have her mom come up and see her outfit, Miss Congeniality had to come down and show off her outfit for everyone:

Trey even got into the action by wearing Isaac's Spider Man hat.

By the time everyone went home, we were all beat! This is how we found Mimi and Collette a few minutes after they sat down to watch Mickey Mouse. :)
