Pulling Out The Paint Rollers

LL and I have done a lot of painting since we moved into our house almost two years ago. This weekend we started painting our upstairs bathroom, and got talking about everything we have painted so far. We discovered this is the EIGHTH room we are paining in our house and the 15th and 16th colors we have bought to paint!! (Between chair railing, trim, special finishes etc. most rooms have gotten 2-3 colors). So, needless to say, we are quite familiar with the Lowes paint department.

Since LL was off yesterday, we declared it Painting Day. At about 8:30am, we started with the primer.

Collette got a very special "play pen" during painting time:

At first she didn't seem to love it, but then she got playing with her toys and had a great time.

She even got to practice her painting skills! Start 'em young, right?

We let the primer dry, and put on our first coat of paint during Collette's nap time. We chose Lyndhurst Spring Eve for the main color and Summer Mist (both Valspar) for the ceiling and (eventually) trim.

We finished the first coat about the time Collette got up, and put a second coat on in the early evening. Ta-Da!

Next week we will be getting our tile floor installed, and then after that the vanity and closet doors. So far, we are still on track for completion in mid-March.
